Akshara Children’s Library in Colaba is more than just a quaint library
Reena Agrawal @dna
Tucked away in a small lane off Colaba Causeway is a library exclusively for children, its location lending itself to everything you would want for your child. As you enter Garden Road, lush green trees bathed squeaky clean welcome you; you walk down further and you find yourself in a dilemma for on your left is a garden enticing you to the green open space where kids from the neighbourhood are playing. But look to your right and the doors beckon you to a world of books.

Take a book return a book is the phrase of Little free library movement which has been popularized by Todd Bol in Hudson US in 2009, when he mounted a wooden container designed to look like a school house on a post in his lawn to pay tribute to his mother who was a book lover and a teacher. Since then the movement has become popular and has spread worldwide.

While doing my research writing course I came across an interesting concept Predatory Journals. And as a Librarian we need to educate the researchers on these low quality journals and how not to fall prey to them.
